Who is the Huntsville Inner City Learning Center (HICLC)?

Our mission is to grow our students into Christ-like, lifelong learners and responsible
citizens through after school programs focusing on Biblical knowledge, mentoring and
academic support.

What is the Give it Back Track?

Give it Back Track is a sanctioned 5K and a 1-mile Fun Run for all ages created to
teach our students philanthropy and fitness.

When is the registration deadline and what is the cost?

Registration for the 2022 Give It Back Track 5K ($20) or the 1-mile Fun Run ($15)
closes on 5/4. T-Shirt size is not guaranteed after 4/15. Register at

Why are we running?

In order to teach the importance of giving back to the community, HICLC students
select the recipient of the race proceeds. This year, proceeds from the race will benefit
New Futures, Inc, the only nonprofit homeless shelter for families in Huntsville.

How can I get involved other than running in the race?

We are looking for individuals, families and groups to get involved:

Sponsor an HICLC student runner (including any or all of the following):

• Pay for race registration
• Provide encouragement during training
• Be a Running Buddy (register for the race and run with the student)
• Provide new running shoes
• Cheer them on during the race

Volunteer:

• Help with race set-up or clean up
• Assemble/distribute registration packets
• Assemble/distribute food bags or donate
• Operate a water stations
• Serve in the first aid station
• Be a race monitor
• Work the finish line
• Join the prayer team
