Tayna joined New Futures as the Executive Director in June 2017. With extensive experience in non-profit work and a passion for helping communities in need, she came to New Futures with a vision for growth and sustainability. As a past Executive Director of a United Methodist Church cooperative parish and a current Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Tayna has worked with those afflicted with mental illness, substance use disorders, homelessness, and poverty. When Tayna isn’t at New Futures, she enjoys spending time with her daughter Claudessa and husband RJ, watching sports, thrift store shopping, and traveling. She grew up on Sand Mountain in Jackson County and received degrees from Northeast Alabama Community College and the University of Montevallo.
